March Monthly Favorites

March Monthly Favorites! Yayyy!

Hi, everyone!

It’s been a while and I still can’t get over from our Badian, Cebu Trip. Anyway, I know that it’s the second week of April already, but I promised y’all that I’ll be doing my “Monthly Favorites” every month, so here you go.

I received a lot of free products lately because I’ve been spending money for my professional makeup tools, but I only liked a handful of them. The purpose of my Monthly Favorites is to give you my snippet reviews of the products and provide reasons on why I love them.

March Monthly Favorites: Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced Healing

March Monthly Favorites

I received this from a friend who noticed my super dry lips. I am not a fan of lip balms except when Burt’s Bees released their exquisite line of tinted lip balms. But my friend insisted and said that it’s a lip therapy, not a lip balm per se. It’s still sealed so I agreed to get it just to give her a run for her money.

I almost forgot about this when I got home. I was picking at my lip’s dry excess skin and I accidentally pull it all the way through! Then I remembered my friend and the mysterious Vaseline lip therapy.

This therapy comes in a small plastic tube. And it promises to deeply moisturize and protect dry, chapped lips. The consistency is thick and it looks and feels like petroleum jelly. It smells like chocolate at some point, but it fades after an hour or so.

This lip therapy deserves to be on my March Monthly Favorites because it works! and I love the fact that I didn’t feel any irritation or tingling sensation after using. I’m quite lazy when it comes to this type of thing but I always reapply it every four to five hours.

Will I buy this again? DEFINITELY.

March Monthly Favorites: Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid

March Monthly Favorites

Β I got this as a freebie from Sephora when I bought my Sigma brushes. I don’t know what to do with it because I don’t know what it is in the first place! It’s not indicated if it’s a toner or a cleanser. I did some research and I learned that it’s a liquid treatment for dull skin and you have to apply it every other night.

I hate the smell because it reminds me of my mom’s Maxipeel back in the day. A few drops goes a long way and it feels like I was applying exfoliants on Β my face. It says that it revitalizes and assists the skin’s firming ability with the help of licorice and silk protein.

I was about to stop using this. But after a week, I noticed that my dark under eyes brighten a bit, and my pores aren’t visible anymore. I don’t know if it’s because of Apha-H’s Liquid Gold so I decided to run a test. I stopped using all my night time products except this one. Every other day, that is. After a week of doing this, my face is better!

Will I buy this again? Nope. It’s quite expensive, and I think there are better brands out there that gives the same effects, minus the discomfort and the nasty smell.

March Monthly Favorites: Alpha-H Firming Body Therapy

March Monthly Favorites

I also got this one from Sephora. I like the fact that it smells natural because I don’t like products with an overpowering scent.Β The lotion itself is thick, but it becomes breathable when applied. According to the tube, it encourages a healthy glow from head to toe and is infused with antioxidants and exfoliating properties.

It deserves a place in my March Monthly Favorites because it has shimmer! And I’m actually looking for body lotions with shimmer because I’m constantly attending events in the evening. And shimmers definitely makes you glow.

Will I repurchase? Yes.

March Monthly Favorites: Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

March Monthly Favorites

This is the best among my March Monthly Favorites products! If you’re an avid reader of my blog, you already know that I have a combination-oily skin type. Most of my problems revolves around not having enough blotting paper, my skin is shining all over the place, etc.

Well you get the idea. My oily face is one of my biggest problems.

However, this awesome primer from Becca does a pretty good job at keeping the oil away from my face for 8 hours! It has a cream color and your face will feel like a rubber after several seconds of applying it. But don’t fret, the texture will be gone after a minute and your face will just be matte.

Sigh. Dream come true.

Will I repurchase? OF COURSE!

And there you have it, my March Monthly Favorites! Do you have an awesome product to share too? Or maybe a life event or discovery that made you happy last March?
